Drainage is key

With Winter, comes rain, and though rain may be dreaded when it comes to real grass, creating mud and causing damage, artificial grass is ready to handle whatever torrential downpours are thrown its way. As long as your artificial lawn has been correctly installed and is draining efficiently, you have nothing to worry about when it comes to the wet British weather.

Tackling snow and ice

Snow and ice can make artificial grass unpleasant for both pets and people to walk on, creating a slippery surface. If you have areas of compact snow, careful removal by hand is essential as damage can be caused to the frozen fibres when walked on. However, if the snow is powdery and soft, this may be left to naturally melt and won’t cause any harm to your artificial grass.

How to remove sludge

The initial falling of snow can be a beautiful sight, with a fresh white layer creating picturesque scenery wherever you look outdoors, but the aftermath is not so pretty.
